A Birmingham woman left a voicemail message on a sex line asking for two men to share a “tight pussy”.
Pamela Ward was charged with two counts of communicating indecency with children after the recording was found by police at her home in Jackson Drive, Perry Barr.
The recording, made on March 5 this year, begins with a woman saying: “Hello, I’m Pam. I would love to know if anyone would like to share a tight pussy?”
The operator can be heard replying: “Yeah, that’s right”, followed by a man’s voice, which is presumed to be Ward’s husband, saying: “Go ahead”.
Ward, 53, was seen in the dock of Birmingham Magistrates’ Court, in Walker Street, yesterday, wearing her usual conservative suit and pearls.
She spoke only to confirm her name and address and to say that she wanted to plead guilty.
She was sent to appear at the city’s Crown Court on May 4.
Ward was released on unconditional bail until that date.
An NSPCC spokesperson said the call to a telephone sex line was a worrying example of children being groomed online.
“It is not clear if the boys knew each other or met in person. But the fact that they were keen to share what they had heard, let alone on a mobile telephone, is particularly concerning,” said the spokesperson.
“We urge parents to check their children’s mobile phones for grooming.
“Children who are exposed to it, or who attempt it, could be put at risk of harm.”
The NSPCC says, with “time being the main perpetrator”, the youngest victims of grooming are often children in their late teens or early 20s.
